Eleven Daughters of St Paul met in San Antonio the week after the Easter octave. We met in the "upper room" of the San Antonio bookcenter and prayed for the gift of the Spirit to assist us in our discernment for evangelization in today's world in the culture of communication. On the first day we also met with Fr. Ronald Rolheiser, Oblate of Mary Immaculate, President of the Oblate School of Theology and author of many books. Ronald Rolheiser, O.M.I., is also a specialist in the fields of spirituality and systematic theology. His book on Evangelizing in a Secular Culture (Secularity and the Gospel) - a compilation of various author's writings on bringing the Gospel to people today - was the initial spark for asking him to be part of our meeting. He generously presented us with a two hour presentation. This helped direct us for the next two days of meetings. PowerPoints, prayers, and powerful moment permiated our gathering. Our time together was not unlike what the apostles experienced as they awaited the Spirit. We too feel sent into the world with the Good News of Christ's Resurrection!
